PACKER TESTING
Single and Straddle Packer Systems for Discrete
Zone Testing, Sampling and Injection of In Situ Treatment Fluids
Earth
Data Northeast has many years of experience conducting
packer tests for a wide variety of applications. We offer
complete, self-contained packer systems operated by highly trained
and experienced field personnel. Our professional staff will work
with you to plan a packer testing program to meet your specific
needs in a cost effective manner.
SYSTEM APPLICATIONS
Earth Data Northeast maintains an
extensive inventory of packers and state-of-the-art data collection
devices. Packer systems can be configured for short-term testing
or permanent installations. Packer systems can be used to characterize
discrete intervals within a well or borehole to:
- Determine the vertical extent of groundwater contamination
- Determine vertical head distribution and flow potential
in an open borehole
- Conduct pumping/injection/slug tests in isolated
fractures or screened intervals
- Determine fracture permeability
- Collect water samples from discrete fractures or
screened intervals
- Seal-off zones of poor water quality
- Inject in situ treatment fluids
- Determine pressure response of individual fractures
in adjacent monitoring wells
- Detect casing leaks
PRE-TESTING SURVEYS
Earth Data Northeast can provide
complete suites of geophysical logs
and borehole video surveys to characterize
the well or borehole prior to packer testing.
